I have never lifted a weight in my life. I am new to the whole working out thing, but I really want to get into it, bad. It's time to stop being the skinny guy, and get this body buff. I just dont want to walk into a gym, and be completly lost and not know what to do first. I need some help.

Set up your fitness plan here, it will give you a great direction to head in initially. Do that and then ask specific questions regarding the routines the site provides if you have them.

Hire a trainer even if it is just for one session to show you the ropes.

Most gyms will offer some private training sesions or an integration session to get you going when you start up. Don't try anything with out instruction as you can get hurt, seeing as you have never done this before.
