Thought I would post this here too, did 110 lb. dumbbell bench presses for the first time ever this morning, not only one but 2 sets after my normal sets! Talk about stoked...is there anything cooler than moving new heavy weight!-------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... |

bb1fit you are the man!! as always -------------- I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. Are you talking about 110 in each hand? Crikey! I'm happy to get two sets at 55 (for the day, not AFTER any others)! How long have you been stuck on the plateau before 110?
Congrats |

I hit two sets of 10 with 150 last Tuesday on the DB Bench. That was a PR for me.

I have this really nasty sticky spot just a few inches from ym chest that keeps me down. A spotter would be nice to get thru that.-------------- I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. yeah...my "stick point" as i call it, is right when im pushing up for the first time...my friend has to really freakin help me. After that first one, i can lower down (all the way up to the stick point) and i can do like 3 reps... but what would i do without a spotter?

If your sticking point is right on your chest then the weight is too heavy. If the sticking point is 2-8 inches off your chest then try close-grip board press with 1-4 2x4's stacked on top of each other. Speed bench also helps. It teaches you how to accelerate through the sticking point.

Man, that's awesome bb1fit! At first I thought it said you benched 110 for the first time and I started to feel sorry for you , but 110 in each hand is quite an accomplishment, congratulations.-------------- I firmly believe that any man\'s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious. --Vince Lombardi \"Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it.
