Hi there,

I'm new, as of today! I am 29, and had my first child almost 20 months ago. Before the pregnancy, I had always been slim, and had a very fast metabolism. I never exercised (not good, I know!) but I never gained weight and didn't have excess fat. The benefit of youth, I suppose.
During my pregnancy I gained nearly 60 pounds. I went from 128 to 182. Now, I am back down to about 135, but I have a lot of excess fat in my stomach and thighs. I haven't exercised yet (since the birth), but I know that I need to start now. I want to get rid of the last stubborn pounds, and tone myself up so I can feel more comfortable both in and out of clothes. Also, I am always drained of energy - I think from my eating habits (I've tried Atkins, etc.) and lack of exercise. I want to be able to run around outside, and play wholeheartedly with my daughter, so getting in shape is an absolute must, and something that has to be done NOW!
I'm looking forward to the advice and exercise/nutrition tips that I will get from this website. Also glad to have found a support system!
I'll be posting frequently! Can't wait to get to know some of you!

Welcome to FT! There is a ton of info here.. set up a workout plan from the site, and look up grocery list for a bodybuilder... great food ideas there... use fit buddy to do some research and ask questions!
