My name is Sam and I am starting a get fit plan.
I am 6'5 and 286 lbs. My target is 220 and a bunch more definition.I started last week with a diet of high protein, low fat and low carbs. I have been going to the gym every day and doing 40 min of cardio and 40 of resistance training. Of course it feels like hell but I am getting better.My question is this. Should I be going to the gym everyday or do I need a break? And should your arms feel like rubber after working them?(newbie question)

Your arms might feel like rubber after! I read a quote on here somewhere saying if you can still scratch your nose after your arm workout, you didn't work 'em hard enough!
I wouldn't go to the gym everyday.. your body needs a couple days of rest... I would suggest you fill out a profiel here, pick an exercise plan set up by FT and go with that... it'll give you a couple of days of rest through the week... muscle builds while it's resting...
