Hello all. My name is Eric. I am 33 years old. 5'6" 240lbs. I have have been this way for a least the last 10 years. Never going over 240, but yet never loosing anything either. I have tried a few diet plans, but most of them just leave me hungry. As I have gotten older, I cannot eat like I use to, and it does not take much to fill me up anymore. To put it simply. I am tired of being as fat as I am. I am not looking for a "6 Pack". I would just like to loose 50 pounds. And whatever else happens from there happens. I would certainly like to see some sort of results. Like I said, in recent diets, no results. I am very unhappy with the way that I look, and to many I probably would not look fat, but I am and want to get back into shape. I recently bought one of those all in one gyms and put it in the garage and use it, but I need a routine. I have an elliptical machine and enjoy using it, but I would like to have something that gets me fired up and moving. So there you have it, I am here to see what others are doing, and looking for some help along the way. I am not looking for someone to tell me I am fat, I know that. I need someone to help me on my journey.
I look forward to conversing with all of you.

Hi eric, welcome to ft :) I hope you find the support and guidance you need here..

Quite often with men I help the problem is that they are not eating enoughcalories...sounds odd but usually we clean up their carb sources, increase their protein and fats and they start to see muscles come out from under the fat.

You sound like you have a good start, you just need to get a few things tweaked to get the best results possible.

Thanks for the welcome.

I definatly dont eat enough calories. I wish I could afford a real personal trainer, but because my wife and I are getting ready to go through a chapter 13, it simply not something that can be afforded. I really wish I had someone to work with me everyday, to motivate me and to keep me going. Ultimately it is up to me to make sure I am eating right, supplementing right and working out right, but you know some people just need motivation. I think I am off to the right start, but I really need some help.

Again thanks for the warm welcome. I look forward to conversing with you and others along my long journey.
