ok I'm 28 I went from 125-130 pounds pre children to 175 post children. I have a home gym (just purchased) and a treadmill. Tuesday nights I play competitive volleyball for 4 hours during winter, summer is baseball. Both are only 1 night a week though. my goal is to get back down to even 135. I am 5'5" with an average body frame my body is still in pretty good shape with the exception of my stomach which is horrible. I'm starting the 12 week ab program, and the wieght loss with toning programming. Food is a problem I don't eat alot in fact too little usually only 1or2 meals a day but i grab snack food all to often. Water is my new staple trying to drink 3L a day. I've been going on my treadmill for 30min. every morning for 1 week now(gotta start somewhere) today i signed up and I'm looking for any help or advise I can get. Well thats it!! here goes-------------- *Form good habits they are as hard to break as bad ones! *Don\\'t expect to be what you haven\\'t worked hard to become! |

You will have to change your way of eating ( I am not saying diet ). Need to eat 5-6 small balanced meals/day. Without good nutrition, the tummy will stay the same. Good going on the water and home gym. Weight training will burn the fat.Good luck

Did you lose any weight after the baby. I know eveyone is different. However, I lost about 15lbs when I had the baby. I am just asking because i am trying to put in perspective exacly how much weight you are trying to lose. -------------- It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health. formerfatguy.com Not sure of author |

before I got pregnant for my first I was sitting around 130, after I got pregnant I was at around 140 but kept gaining I would have thought I would lose after the baby as I went back to work fairly soon after and my job is a non stop moving kind of job. By the time I got prgnant for my second I was at 160.Now 1 year after my second daughters birth I was at 185 and have now dropped to 175 I have maintained that for close to 9 months now but can't seem to drop any further? I know my body frame is not made for this extra weight my back aches and my knees hurt. I know I have to change my lifestyle in terms of how I eat and the amount of activity I do. I just the boost and tips on how to keep it going what really works ect.... I would like to get back down to between 130-140. I know I can!!!! ============ Quoting from shavondebrown: Did you lose any weight after the baby. I know eveyone is different. However, I lost about 15lbs when I had the baby. Diet is definately a pplace to start. Try eating 5-6 small meals a day. Have protein at each meal. I also suggest that you use the nutritional tracker to keep up with what you are eating. It has helped and motivated me tremendously. try adding 25 minutes of moderate cardio to your routine.

============ I have started using the nutritional tracker I think it will help, the only thing is the caloric intake seems so high, is there a reason for it to be so high I don't think I could ever eat enough to get to 2400. I'm usually around 1300.I have started doing a program on my treadmill for cardio should I increase that I'm currently doing 30min. every morningthen proceeding to the weights in the evening. -------------- *Form good habits they are as hard to break as bad ones! *Don\\'t expect to be what you haven\\'t worked hard to become! |

You will probably need to use MRP. Also, getting the calories is easier than you think. I will help Nutrition seems to be my strong point. When you plugged in your info, did it give teh amount of calories for your current or your goal weight.

A female in my class says that she was taking it. However the doctor told her to expect a weight loss of 1-2lbs. I think you can manage this without it, as long as youo keep a clean diet and constant excercise program.

============ yes it gave me the caloric intake for 175 lbs which was i believe was around 2400, I thought the hyrdoprox. would have had better results I'm surprised the doctor said only 1-2 lbs. I s there anything out there that will give me some kind of kickstart? I just started taking a multivitamin to help increase energy as I know my iron is very low which doesn't help to try to find the energy to start my workout. so hopefully the vitamins help for that part. |

As far as iron is concerned, red bellpepper is high in iron. I will do a search to find out what are other good sources.
You might have to cut your calories down a bit. About how many calories are you consuming now. -------------- It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health. formerfatguy.com Not sure of author |

currently I use around 1300 per day its the fat I have to watch I can easily stay under the caloric intake by far I have a hard time meeting the carb. and protein requirements It says I need 175g of protien today I'm at 59 carbs is the same thing my fat was right on target it is supposed to be 28g and today I did 29 most of that came from the glass of milk I drank and the chicken I had for supper. It is going to be hard to cut the fat as I eat alot of fruit and veggies. They are what I usually snack on, I need to find better snack food ones that are healthy but don't have so much natural sugar ib them, right!?-------------- *Form good habits they are as hard to break as bad ones! *Don\\'t expect to be what you haven\\'t worked hard to become! |

For your current weight, yes. Try consuming 300g of carbs, 150g of protein and 28g of fat. You don't want to drop calories to fast because it will slow down your motabolism. -------------- It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health. formerfatguy.com Not sure of author |
