i know this is a little late reply, but menace3000, did you happen to read the label.. it specifically states that you need to take 3 to 4 tablets 3 times a day on an empty stomach. inorder to get results, you really need to follow the instructions.

sure if you're ronnie coleman....and or can spend hudreds of dollars in supplements...taking 4g a day is more than enough...12g is a joke...look up proper dosage....their recommendation is a joke...it's a pathetic supplement...just part of the 99.9% of useless supplements out there...

A suppliment called Vanadyl Sulfate by Optimum Nutrition is just as good and a whole lot cheaper.. Like 9.50 for 200 tablets.

Well, this is a problem. I think about the guy who takes one amino acid tablet and says these don't work!!
If the doctor gives you a prescription that says take 3 tablets a day for instance, do you take only 1 because you know better? Arginine to work does need to be taken in rather high doses.(arginine is the basis for all the NO products, and has been used for years). It is a free form amino acid. I am not backing this stuff(nitrix), simply stating that many supplements are rendered as useless due to underdosing. ============ Quoting from menace3000: sure if you're ronnie coleman....and or can spend hudreds of dollars in supplements...taking 4g a day is more than enough...12g is a joke...look up proper dosage....their recommendation is a joke...it's a pathetic supplement...just part of the 99.9% of useless supplements out there... ============= -------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

bb1 I was simply going by the different info I read from different sources, and info I got from other supplements. I am not claiming to be an expert, but generally speaking the recommended dosage is around 3-4 g...12 g a day is an incredible amount to consume...
it's not like I took one of those joke supplements which have like 300-500mg of it and then stated the above...I looked at different sources and found that the general consensus is about 3-4 g a day to get results...I have not been able to find other sources that back up this myth of Nitrix that I need to take 12 g a day for it to be effective... Perhaps heavier individuals should take slightly more....but there's got to be a realistic limit...I just think 12g of Nitrix produces expensive urine...nothing more...but that's just my 2 cents Also I have noticed that supplements which have clear/noticeable effects are generally inexpensive and have been around for a while(protein supplements, creatine, multivitamins, zma, etc)...I don't understand why there's need to spend money on unproven supplements which cost a lot and don't produce much of noticeable effects, if any...for me Nitrix fits into this category...perhaps not for others...like I said i am not stating this as a fact...simply as an opinion...

I agree with the Nitrix thing, I don't think much of it. I was simply pointing out that many folks don't get results due to underdosing(trying to save money).
This is why a product like Muscle Synergy is so good and so bad. It is excellent if taken to dose, but correct doseage makes it very cost prohibitive for many. As for arginine, consider this...the more muscle you gain, the greater the demand on creatine-synthesizing pathways to supply extra creatine to the newly added tissue. Arginine is required for the synthesis of creatine. Almost 2.5 grams of arginine are required to match the daily loss of creatine (as creatinine) in a 70-kg (~154-lb) male. The doseage used in the product I was referring to is 14 gr. and above. I know first hand this stuff works, but again, it is vey cost prohibitive. -------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

bb1 perhaps you're right...under dosing is a problem...but dosages as high as 15g are used to treat people with congested heart failure not really for healthy persons...I was reading Flex magazine and although they recommend 9-12g, they still say that 2-5g twice daily should give decent results also....
I found cheapest bottle of 180 tablets for $27.95 online and free shipping...but that's 2 bottles a month (30days)...using 12g a day...so that's a minimum of $56 a month just for this supplement...and it's a lot more if bought at GNC or another store... This is hilarious for the same price of 1 year usage of the supplement I can get all gym access to all 24 hrs gyms around San Fran for 3 years.....price prohibitive indeed lol

Arginine Ethyl Ester HCL will be the way to go in the future. It will be expensive at first when it really hits the market in force. There are a few companies out there that have AEE in their products but when you buy AEE make sure its an HCL straight AEE without attaching a HCL (hydrochloride) is unstable but with the HCL it makes the compound stable for up to three years. I will have the studies to post when we release our AEE HCL. AEE HCL will be alot like creatine ethyl ester better absorbtion and lower doses because of it's absorbtion rate. Also keep an eye out for Glutamine EE and Citrilline Malate EE if they are high grade raw which they should be after all to attach an ethyl ester to a product you have to have at least a 98% grade raw material ie-glutamine,Arginine,Creatine, in order to attach an ethyl ester to the base compound. -------------- Keith Hardy CFO Serious Nutrition Solutions LLC keith@seriousnutritionsolutions.com www.seriousnutritionsolutions.com |

Oh by the way its will probably be best to buy in capsule form. Its gonna take companies a while to get the taste right on powder forms.
