i train my abs every day, coz i really want a six pack. the ft program for the abdominals is too easy for me so i do: legraises: 4 sets, 20 reps side leg raises: 4 sets, 20 reps crunches: 1 set 80 reps twisted crunches: 4 sets 20 reps
but during these exercises i still don't really get that burn! and my abs don't hurt the day after either! i do them really slowly and carefully, concentrating on my breathing so that can't be the problem.... i hope u can help me!

You probably don't get that burn because you basically train everyday and are not giving your abs any rest. To get your 6-pack, you'll need to drop your bodyfat...that means diet and cardio. Of course the ab exercises will help, but not as much as the diet and cardio. You only need to work on your abs 3-4x per week.
Hope this helps...

Well neither do I really feel the burn any longer in my abdominal muscles (in the beginning when building them yes, but not now). I still know that they are working thou since I got a nice six packs showing me the results.
Oh, only when I do many one hand push ups, my obliques tell me that they truly excist the day after.....

Try checking out: www.thepumpingstation.com
They've got a pretty good article on Abs. Their premise is basicly that good Abs are made in the kitchen and not necessarily in the gym. (They are assuming that you are working them already)
They also have some articles pertaining to "Hardgainer" body types. They examine some genetic tendencies, and offer some suggestions on how to work within those.
I myself am a hardgainer type, I tend to build high endurance, strong, but slow and not very defined muscle. I don't necesarily follow their suggestions to a tee, but some of the principles are useful, and I believe they do influence my workout to an extent.
I have worked out in the past, but armed with the information I have now, and I think a little more commitment/wisdom, I am realizing gains that I never saw before with less cumlative time in the gym.

Abs contrary to popular belief are 90% a product of diet. Work your abs no more than twice per week, heavy rope crunches and weighted leg raises are 2 great ones, and let them rest. Then when you diet and get lean, presto...abs!!!
