I have read quite a few things saying you should take about 50 carbs or so after you workout. It replinishes your glycogen stores, helps muscles repair etc.......however mine has like 2 carbs in it. However i'm looking to get bigger and stronger quicker, and i was wondering coudl this be a factor?
I am now eating half a "pb" sandwich after my protein shake.........about 30+ carbs......however its wheat bread, and won't give an insulin spike? Should I eat a cookie or refined carb or somthing?

Yes.....add some simple sugars to your pwo shake. Dextrose and malto are ideal. You can "jump start" the recovery process so to speak. This in turn is additive, and will accelerate gains over the long run.

You can buy dextrose even cheaper....and the number one thing to use. About $1.75 for 2 lbs.
