There are several activities you can do without having a gym access. Check out the free Exercise Program on here. There is a special one for home work outs and those who don't have gym equipment.
As far as food goes, you need carbs and cutting them completely out will only lessen your results. Eat clean carbs (vegetables, etc) For food suggestions, there are tons of information in the Specific Diets & Nutrition forum.
