you need to increase the intensity. when you start, it's no problem to get that pump goin. but when your muscles have become accustomed, you need to work harder.

Try cutting out the isolation exercises and throw in some heavy back exercises. You can get the arm swell as well as a back swell. Better overall.

that "swell" has ntohingt o do with muscle growth..just makes you feel like a B-A...I wouldn't worry about it really. But what your refering to is called the "pump." I haven't had a "pump" in months....and i'm doing just fine.

Eating has everything to do with muscle growth.

No offense man, but you sound like a broken record regurgitating the contents of a PT exam.

If the "pump" is so important then how is it that Olympic and Power lifters get such huge muscles.

Well I can pick up a 10lb dbs and get one hell of a pump by doing 25+ reps...doubt that will cause any muscle mass gain in the long run.

In a round abotu way..it MAY help with soem muscle gain. By geting blood flow to muscles delivering more oxygen, nutrients etc etc blah blah. But in the long run unless you break musle tissue down, fatigue the contracitle fibers whatever. You won't get any kind of hypertrophy.

If the "pump" worked so well...then NO2 products wouldn't be a big scam...and everyoeen would have massive guns.

I like, simply, to use the pump as an indicator that I am successfully working the target muscle(s). Perhaps there is some other scientific benefit to it, but it is ussually a good indication that you are placing the stress correctly on the muscle.
