Try eating smaller meals and more often. Keep drinking water as that is already a plus. Stay away from processed foods and try to take in more protein. Stay active with some form of exercise. Good luck.

Thank you Carivan:

I've begin eating smaller portions and drinking lots of water today actually...it wasn't so bad. :-)

Will power is a muscle - the more you use it the stronger it gets...but you also have to figure out if your hunger is driven by the actual need for more calories or by an emotional need.

Many people put themselves on unrealistic 'diets' and are constantly hungry because they are in a state of deprivation - eventually it will backfire as your body drives you to eat more with cravings and constant hunger.

The most radical thing anyone who has been here for a while will attest to is that you actually need to eat more health food to let your body release the excess weight.

Kudos to you on starting an exercise routine - my suggestion for your hunger is hat you look up the post "WSSC Food Plan" (there is a search engine at the bottom of the screen called fitbuddy, just enter the name of the thread and you should be able to find it). That post has a good list of foods to center your eating on, as does the sticky post "grocery list for healthy eating' in the nutrition forum. The WSSC food plan also lays out an easy way to figure out your caloric needs and how to plan meals so you aren't hungry or deprived but you will still lose inches and pounds.

Good luck and welcome to freetrainers - stick around, do a lot of reading and ask specific questions, this is a great support community.

Thank you very much...I need this support. I'm going to print this message and hang it in my office. :-)
