Hey all. Found the forums through Google, did ksome reading and decided to join.

The Fitness plan looks great.!! I've been in the gym for a month now warming up....and cant wait to start the plan.
.....but the nutrition plan has me a little befuttled.
4000 calories and 240 g. protein based on my height/weight/activity/metabolism?

Im struggling at 2600 calories and 170 g protein. I eat Met Rx bars for breakfast, regular lunch, 1/2 serving "Heavyweight Gainer 900" shake as a snack, dinner, and a late night.

it seems the only thing getting a real workout is my jaw and stomache.....and Im wondering if im not just "passing" the supplements thru.

any advice?

You may want to try splitting up your calorie intake over 5-6 small meals per day eating every 2.5 – 3 hour apart.

Eating this way requires preparation and discipline but is worth all of the hassle for the results- FAT loss!!

Eat carbohydrates (complex carbs. NO white stuff flour/sugar) and lean protein at each meal and throw in some low GI veggies at least two times per day (lunch & dinner).

Choosing healthy fats and keep your protein as lean as possible are great for weight loss as well.

I am a strong believer in 1 gram of protein per pound if you are strength training consistently and maybe more for men.

Adequate protein intake is crucial for building your lean muscle mass. Muscle dictates metabolism. Lean muscle mass is the best friend you have when it comes to losing fat.
