Hello all,
Well, I have tried losing weight and have tried many diet plans but they all failed. I am 5'10' and weight 234. I have always just figured I would work on my weight later in life after I finished my partying and having fun. Well, at 36, I had my first physical in a few years and was told I need to lose weight.
So, to the net I went for research on how to change my lifestyle not just diet. I stumbled across Freetrainers.com and it was confusing at first but, after perusing it in it's entirity I found it to be VERY useful. I actually purchased a 3 month access with in 3 days.
The nutrition plan is simple, easy to follow and update. the exercises are not overwhelming and can be accomplished within a lunch hour...I hate mornings.
Thank you for something that actully makes this a little easier to do...change my life.

Hi Jody - Welcome to ft! I am glad you got over the initial confusion and decided to stay.
One thing to be aware of is that the sites caloric intake calculation tends to be a bit on the high side.
I hope you achieve all your fitness goals with the information you have found here - never stop reading and educating yourself!

That's a really great attitude! Most people think they have to spend hours in a gym, and eat like a rabbit. Which just isn't true at all. asimmer is right about the calorie calculator on this sight, copy and past the following to get to the one I use:http://bodybuilding.com/fun/calrmr.htm

Thank you both for the information. I went to the site and calculate my RMR and yes it is ALOT lower than this site. i will use that instead of the one in the Nutrition Guide. It is stil hard to work out when you just don't wat to so headed to the gym now to force myself....I usually feel better once I get going...:)
Have a great weekend.

I make a contract with myself that going is non-negotiable, but if I have worked out 10 minutes and still don't feel like being there I can leave... usually endorphins kick in by then and I never end up leaving.:)
