16 years old,i weigh 155 lb right now, and it seems like my weights is not going up ever since i quit junk foods, and the key is that i am not able to do running and bicycling or any of those "sweatish" exercise,(i dont know what they are called, aerobic training i suppose?)anyway, because of an injurying on my ankle from b-balling. but still my weights are not going up, even when i am not be able to do those exercises. my weighttrain coach said my body is not ready for it, is it true?? because my brother and i take proteins, and he gained like 25 lbs, but i.....stays the same.....:'(

One part is protein intake....second part is total calories....you need to consume enough calories to gain weight....like 300-500 to see fairly fast gains.....since you quit eating junk food...your calories probably decreased overall....so you need to replace them with something else....aim for about 160-200g protein daily from lean sources....and i am guessing somewhere around 2000 is maintenace for you so...up your calories to 2500....and see how that goes....

you should see gains...do compound exercises...squats(to parallel or lower....go lower if you dunno what prarallel is...touch butt to calves if you have to).....

do deadlifts....

do pull ups/rows/dips/incline bench....

look through this thread for sample workouts....
