What do you listen to during your workout?I have an mp3 player adn had a wide range of songs on it.I found song of the songs not work out worthy and put on more high energy or agressive music.I find it gives me a bit of a pump

alot of heavy metal or 80' hair bands - Metallica, Kiss, WASP, Cinderella, AC/DC , GNR, etc
I usually burn a cd of some loud heavy songs and enjoy during my workout. It does seem to help. On one cd I accidently burn a ballad instead of the song I was wanting The ballad hit during a heavy lift and I about killed myself

If you put "music" into the fitbuddy search, you'll come up with lots of threads with playlist ideas. Personally, I'm into classic rock, The Who, The Doors, Clapton...Listening to music while I workout out is half the reason I workout--couldn't do without my MP3. I actually left my iPod at my gym the other day and someone was kind enough to turn it in...luckily I'd scratched my phone number on the back!

I hate working out without my i-pod:angry: Once I forgot to check the charge on my mp3 player before I went to the gym and when I was ready to start my workout it was completely dead:surprised: Since I was already at the gym I had to do my routine. Cardio was the worst, I don't get how people choose to do it without music. I was so irritated by all of the other noises in the gym (machines, fans,....) I listen to all kinds of music, but I found Techno keeps me going nicely during cardio.

I am not ashamed... I am not ashamed... actually my very favorite workout music in the entire world is the CD version of Welcome to the Pleasure Dome by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. It is including the animal sounds from London Zoo about 20 minutes long, and makes a great treadmill workout..... I get all Rocky pumped up listening to it, hahah. So now you can all laugh at me.

My tastes are a bit on the harder side...Queensryche, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, etc., and more recently Killswitch Engage.

Actually, I am hiding my head here, but I actually liked Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Really a solid tune if they play the whole thing, not the cut version.

Odd, coming from an old Hendrix, Doors, Joplin, Zep man.

Yeah, the one song, Relax. If the full version is played, it is a pretty awesome track. Kind of fell into that one one night on a drinking night. Can't listen to anything else by them, but I do really like Relax.
