Wow! That sounds very cool. I would love to come. What a time, going to LV, seeing the NPC USA's! Your sure are lucky Rev. If you do it again next year you'll have to post the info so some of us can make it out there.

Wow, I remember something along the lines of the post above only having to do with Olympia. My bad. Next time, please call my house. No really, I will pay closer attention this coming year because air fare out there is so cheap and what a blast it would be.

it is soooooo waaaaaaaay too much fun having these shows out here. and it will have cooled off by this weekend - not even supposed to break 110, so the out-of-towners wont be able to complain too much.......

I'm already there Ischjli. I noticed I spent too much time on my hair, so I took my razor to my head.

You da man Cain. Time for a new pic. I keep wavering. I think it might be a little hard here in my Gov't position, and then there is my wife who isn't thrilled. But, my biggest fan and the one who matters, my little girl, is begging me to shave it. She asks me weekly when it's gonna happen. So, who knows. Maybe for the cut phase, sort of a "whole new mindset" to go along with a new phase.

Actually the head shaving is part of why my girlfriend left me. Just keep that in mind when you shave yours. :) Actually I plan on putting up new pics, in seven weeks. As soon as I finish this cut phase.

I have thought about it. I keep telling her, she cut her butt lengthed thick hair which I loved, so it is my turn. But here I sit, still not bald.

well, if you guys are not going to make it out here for the USAs, the you MUST come out for the olympia! it is beyond what ever you could possibly imagine, believe me. i will never forget my first one; all the people just walking around and hanging out. and the after-show parties - oooooooooooo ya!!!!
and its funny to feel so damn small at these shows! but not in a negative way. i just wanted to work out even harder.

so, here is another note: the olympia will be oct 16th-20th, with the expo and contests that friday and saturday.

make your plans..........................

Cool Rev. That might just happen. Man, that would be great. How difficult is it to get tickets to see the comp? I mean, do they sell out quick?

the expo is free, which i think is the most fun. the tickets tend to sell out pretty quick, esp for the men's. thats why IFBB did a 5-year contract with Mandalay Bay (the hotel hosting it). no time in olympia history have the shows done this well. however, since i NEVER agree with the judges, i usually leave before the winners are announced; it just ruins my evening...LOL!

i think the only one that got screwed more than ray in olympia history was lee labrada: beautiful physique, perfect symetery, but they said he didnt have the mass! Sheeeesh, what bull!

anyway,i didnt go to the men's last year. its has become just so boring and predictable. i did go to both of the women's (BB and Fitness), and they were much better, except, again, for the judging.

I hear you, when I saw the pics of Jay and Ronnie, I thought man what a keg each was carrying around their waists. I have always thought that Arnold and Lee and Shawn had the best symetery of them all. I do find mass impressive but I think it has gone way over board...

i swear, the current state of affairs with the IFBB is no better that the WWF, and at least they dont pretend to be real!

jay is the new appointed weider golden boy. you can see now, after all of the appropriate media hype, how all of sudden and out of nowhere, jay is every newbie's new fav for the best bb of all time. the IFBB placed him that high to show a "threat" (everybody say "ooooooo")to coleman, and then DQ'd him to flair up the "controversy" (everybody say "ahhhhhhh"). coleman will still win this year, but jay will come in again in the top 5 to secure his position as mr olympia next year after coleman retires after this year for some injury or something.

sadly enough, it's all part of the storyline......

Cain, that sounds cool. I don't know if I will be able to come without my wife though. She is the biggest dancer I know and before we met she was into that Rave stuff and the Dead. Whenever we go out to a club, she is in her own world, even if alone on the floor she'll dance. And she looks too good to be doing that! But, trying to stop her from dancing is like trying to take a pacifier from a baby. You might succeed but the whinning will hurt your ears. Anyways, I am going to have to start planning.

make sure they're big ones, lumina - lol.

Ra is on the verge of being a "has been" club, cain. i mean, its a great club and all, but there are sooooooo many new ones that have opened recently.

maybe before oct., i'll post an itinerary for all of you who are planning on coming out, and ill just play tour guide while we hit 'em all!

hmmmmmmm.............

That sounds great Rev. I told my wife last night, she thought I was kidding, or she didn't take me seriously, I am not sure which. She is definately psyched though. I just have to make it happen.

Lumina, you really planning on coming or just jerking us around, hmmm?

Lumina, I'm only making this comment about keeping you up past midnight. I can do it...

Rev,
CHA! Maybe in the Vegas scene it's close to being has been, but in the electronic music scene, no other club in Las Vegas is getting the big names that Ra is. Ra is attracting Dj's from other countries that only play the states rarely. I mean it's a pretty specialized scene that really only ravers watch, but Ra is dealing with the younger crowds music, so I wouldn't expect older folks to have a clue.. Not that i mean you, but if you don't like trance, you would have no idea. Personally I hope it does become "passe" to the typical Vegas crowd, so the people in the clubs are the ones that belong there, because they are there for the music and not just cause it's a club on the strip that everyone says is cool.

Oh yeah, Ischjli
I don't know what you're wife knows about trance, but tell her
Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyke, Kimball Collins, Bt, Sandra Collins, Darren Emerson, and many, many more have been playing Ra lately.

Thanks Cain. You may have just planned my evening the next time I get the kids outta the house. I will burn some cd's and put 'em on and see what happens to her. We weren't married when she was a raver/dead head and she is Mom now, but methinks once I slap that Trance on I may see a side of her that I have never seen. LET THE JOURNEY BEGIN!

Actually I am the music lover in the family. She loves to dance more than ANYTHING, but I like to hear all the new music, and play it for her. So, I will check into the above and let you know.

So Cain, Rev, these clubs, are we talking like a scene from Blade 1 or 2? Without the vampires of course.

Basically yes, without the Vampires. It's a giant pyramid (inside and out) and the whole club is done with that theme. But like all clubs it's dark except the neon body paint and the strobe lights.

Okay things I need to know: What would be a good but cheap hotel to stay at in Las Vegas? How does one get tickets to the Olympia and how much do they cost? Do I need to rent a car?
Thanks in advance

cain, i wasnt knocking Ra, in fact i LOVE the inside. im just saying wait til ya c some of the new ones: Light, Curves, V, Drai's, Whiskey Sky, Ghost Bar, etc. The selection now is even better now! and i get email notifications of all of the special guest DJs for around town, and its fantastic!

Ra = Blade? Ya, definitely!

Lumina: ill collect that info and email it to ya, k?
