I try to eat at least 1500 calories a day the way the diet on this site tells me to, but I am worried about gaining weight. I talked to a trainer at my gym the other day and he says he thinks I need to eat more than 1500 calories in order to drop more bodyfat. I already feel like 1500 is enough in order to maintain but now I am confused. diet really is the hardest part.
Oh yes I know how you are feeling. Everyone TELLS me I do not eat enough at average of about 1300 calories a day. My Physician disagrees with them though as I maintain "my perfect weight" at this calorie level. If I start eating more, which I have done to test the thereory (if I eat more I will burn more... NOT) and ended up putting on fat weight.
I would track your calories for a few weeks, write EVERY THING down (weigh it too..) and see where you natuarally fall. Mnitor isf you are gaining losing or maintaining. Then you will know what your body needs. BTW I read in a medical journal that it takes 4-5 pds of muscle to burn 50 more calories a day. I have read in BB Magazines that it is a pound of muscle to burn 50 more calories a day. I do not beleive this idea not supported by any medical on metabolism.
