Someone asked a question on another site about what they are supposed to eat when pregnant, and I thought I would ask here and see what's said.
I would think that the same rules apply. Colorful diet. Fruits, veggies, lean protien, complex carbs, low fat dairy, all in line with the amounts/times that are right for the pregnant women.
Unless advised by a Dr. on specific changes that need to be made, a pregnant woman should be able to go by the guidelines for healthy eating that the rest of try to follow right?

You are 100% correct. If anything, you should be even more diligent about eating healthy. Exercise should also continue through your pregnancy, with the OK of a Dr. I fell into the trap of eating whatever I wanted to excess, for both my pregnancies, and it took me years to undo the damage!

Yes, same foods. maybe a little emphasis on dairy and folic acid, but a prenatal vitamin should cover some/most of that.

Good. Thats what I told the girl who asked, and it made her feel a lot better about what she had purchased at the grocery store.
