Im 17 years old and i live with my Dad. Neither of us have any idea how to cook and i live mostly on junk food. im a good weight for my size not fat not skinny, have u any ideas how i can get the protein and carbohydrate i need without depending on fresh, home cooked food. I do take some supplements but i cant depend on this. Thanx

I would really try to get dad and yourself in the kitchen to cook some good food. It really is not hard. Instead of spending a fair bit of money on junk food invest in a good cookbook for beginners.

Lookup in the yellow pages information for a nutritionist/dietician get him/her to give you both food plans and ask for a recommendation for a good cookbook.

Nothing can replace good food!

just like fumin said..you 2 need to learn how to kick...I don't suggest fast junk food because they contain a lot of fat..you need to divide your meal into carbs + protien + fat keeping fat within 10-15 %. Also eat more often..5-6 small meals is more effective than those big 3 meals that most homes are used 2. Sources of protien, carbs and fat can be found in the nutrition center of this site...

The folks above are telling you right but in th event that you find you don't have the time every single day, here is a site that I read about in Muscle and Fitness that may help you make the least evil of the fast food choices. www.olen.com/food/. I love double meat cheese burgers and strawberry shakes myself:) O.K. now somebody has to give me a tongue lashing for putting this info on FT and wreaking all your diets! Use in moderation I won't be held responsible for abuse of this site:)
