Ok, I've seen lots of posts about oatmeal, but I'm telling you, I can't stand oatmeal. It's not that I don't like the flavor, but when I eat it, it sits like a rock in my tummy. I feel horrible for hours. (Pancakes also do that to me.)

Anyway, what do you guys suggest to help me incorporate oatmeal into my diet?? Puree it and add it with something for a shake maybe?

I know someone out there has to have played around with oatmeal... ;o)

Thanks much!

You can add that to the blender from the cottage cheese post. :) If oatmeal doesn't settle with you, try barley, same affect and easier to digest for some.

You guys are KILLING me! :-) Is there anything you guys DON'T put into a blender? I have some crabgrass I mowed last weekend - low in calories but high in fiber LOL :-D

PG, just search on 'oatmeal', there are tons of recipes out there. My favorite is one Philia posted that I have modified a tad. I cook about 54 egg whites on a Sun night and put them in a container. Each morning I use about 7 cooked whites (heated up), 1 banana, 1 cup of oatmeal (cooked in 1 cup of milk), 2 cups of milk, 2 tbsp flax seed oil, cinnamon & honey to taste, and 2 scoops of cooking soy protein isolate powder - blend it all up and it tastes GREAT! It is warm and has the consistency of porridge. It fills a 24 ounce beer cup and I drink it on the way to work (about 15 minutes). I am trying to bulk, and this is filling and effective.
