Anybody cook and refirgerate oatmeal the night before? How does it do being reheated the next morning, or making enough for a couple of days to save time in the morning?

I guess it depends on your taste. I usually fix oatmeal for the week on Sunday night. I put it in a plastic container and keep it in the little fridge in my office. Each morning when I go from the gym to work I scoop out my daily ration and heat it up. Yes, the texture is different than when eating it freshly cooked...it is much thicker. But I am a freak who loves oatmeal any which way and I never get sick of eating it.

I do the same as msmgreen....its not too bad at all...you might have to add a dash of water or milk to it to smooth it out alitle again before you reheat it....but the taste is pretty much the same..

I eat quakers "weight control" oatmeal in the packets. It saves a lot of time for me and it tastes great.

I do the same thing as fouts, but with just the regular packets. I just add hot water from my tap at work, mix and add protien powder...works for me. (the hot water is actually steam temp...so very hot)

Wow FlyOTW that is a great idea...I've been sticking with the morning cereal and a protein shake three hours later. But adding the protein powder to the oatmeal sounds like something I'd like to try. Not sure how my chocolate powder would taste though.
