So, I need to know if I'm alone here. At what point do you cross the line from being fit-concious to obsessive compulsive? I've found that since I haven't been able to work out, I have become obsessive about researching fitness, I've made several charts, calendars, etc. to chart my progress, schedule my workouts, menus, etc. Please tell me that I'm not the only one who does this? Man, I hope to never get sick again! This lack of exercise has turned me into a loonatic!!! :)

I completely understand where you're coming from. I wouldn't call it OCD. Exercise is now a part of your life. If a small part of your life is removed or altered, you do what you can to compensate for it. Obsession? No; it's called dedication.

No prob gs. I'm not in perfect shape yet, but I'm well on my way. It's sad that there are not more people willing to put forth the effort. I get really tired of comments like "You're so lucky, I wish I had the willpower not to eat that brownie" or "You're so lucky, I wish I could wear those cute pants", "You're so lucky, you are losing weight, I wish I could" etc. One of these days I'm going to snap and say "You think LUCK makes these things happen? Try a LOT of very hard work!!!!" DOn't get me started gs. You'll see how far my obsession with this goes! lol

I don't think that's conceded. I'm married to a wonderful man as well, but isn't it human nature? My hubby and I are both big flirts (if anyone hasn't noticed!), but it's completely innocent. I too can't wait to go to the pool and get noticed. I was grocery shopping two nights ago and a very good looking man approaced me in the produce isle. Although I would never act on anything, it was VERY flattering to be noticed! I am feeling much better and just decided to go to the gym this morning afterall regardless of the Mono (no lectures please). I couldn't take it anymore. I go at 4:30 in the AM before work. I have to admit, it feels great to get back to the old routine. Nothing like getting up, exercising, taking a cold shower and having a nice healthy breakfast all before 6:45! I decided to try to learn to run (starting with jogging). Holy cow. I do cardio regularly, but it's usually walking at 3.8 MPH on a high incline or doing aerobics, etc. I decided that I want to step it up. Although I've done a lot of cardio, whenever I jog even a minute I feel like I'm going to pass out. Well, I jogged at about 5.0, I made it 6 minutes at a time, would take a 5 minute break and walk fast, then jog again for as long as I could (made it up to 6 minutes). I think I could have gone longer, but my heart rate was up to 195 BPM, and I felt like I was dying, so thought I better chill a bit. I figure I'll just keep doing it, and eventually I'll be able to do it for long time spans. One day at a time. Next year I would LOVE to be able to run in the 10K for the Lung Association. I actually thought I was going to throw up after my workout today. Good for me! ha ha. Have a good day Sunshine!!!
