Can you do upper body lifting and abdominal work while sitting? Eat clean and focus on your diet while you recuperate, then ease yourself back into your routine.
You need to figure out why you lost your motivation - were you overtrained, depressed by the ankle injury, not setting goals..life often gives us many stresses, but the most ironic part is that working out is the best stress revliever and instead we tend to stop when we are stressed out.
Good luck!

try riding a stationary bike for 30-45 minutes every day. Try to perform leg curls and leg extensions if you can tolerate them. You may have to set the pads up high on your shins and calves to keep pressure off of your ankle. Hammer your abs and upper body.
