I simply cannot drop the poundage,my body has been maintaining for the past 2 months and Iam seriously getting annoyed..I work out faithfully, monitor what I eat etc..in other words I seem to be doing it all right,,
I have lost serious inches, and that is great, but now I would like to see the scale move at least somewhat..
My daily caloric intake is about 1800,I do 20 mins of cardio three times a week, but lift weights 4 days a week..I follow the exercises set out for me to the letter
I also walk about 3 miles a day
Any ideas of what is going wrong? I would like eventually to drop 15lbs..
thanks

I have the same problem, I still care to much about what the scale says. I'm trying to change that:surprised: I just finished my first 8 week program. In those 8 weeks I've lost 12.25 total inches but only 2lbs. I've also been maintaining for months now. My calories range from 1500-1800 per day and I keep the fat between 25-40g per day. I work out 5 days a week, 3 days weights and 2 days cardio. It looks like you don't take a rest day, if so you should change that, rest is so important. I still need to drop about 30-40lbs:angry:

We've all told folks that muscle is heavier than fat and to forget about the scale if we're losing inches. I went through the same thing about 3 months ago when I had my best cut cycle ever but pulled out the scale during the last couple of weeks. Frustrating as hell as I could tell by the mirror that I was where I wanted to be but the darn scale keep my frustrated. Try adjusting your carb/fat intake to see if you can jump start and something that helps me is fish oil capsules as I don't get enough fat in my diet.

I'm with both of you ladies as well. My weight really hasn't budged in over 6months. Although I do find it frustrating some times, I know it is great to maintain my weight as well! Keep focusing on the fact that you are eating healthier and working out regularly, which has sooo many benefits. You know the changes are occurring, just not registering on the scale. I just went out and bought myself a nice summer dress, which would not have fit me the same way this time last year...far better motivator than the scale!!

Hi Fly
You are right for sure! I can fit into my size 10 jeans and they arent tight anywhere...I have given myself a year to loose all the weight and tone up.. but I guess we have been so programmed to believe that the scale is the truth and nothing but the truth, that it takes time to change old habits..

You know, its just that time of year where everyone is over scrutinizing themselves. The weather is getting nicer and the ays are getting longer. We beat ourselves up when we shouldn't and don't give credit where credit is due. A lot of the threads I've been noticing lately are people I know have made progress but they still seem to be freaking out all of a sudden. I'd just like to say to all of you. Relax.....you look great.
