Last night I again tried to take Whey after my workout. I even went to the store, bought a blender and different berries to make a smoothie out of it. Im convinced that NOTHING you do can make that stuff taste good.

Depends on the kind you buy... whey comes on so many flavors and varieties now. I really like Syntrax Brand - it comes in a lot of fruit flavors, and has a really good lemonade flavor that rocks when mixed with really cold water.

Try adding a little splenda to your smoothie.

If you bought a cheap, dag-nasty type of whey, there isn't much you can do...

Look up Syntrax Nectar online - or try Beverly International's Cookies and Cream - it is really good too, so is their chocolate flavor.

Make it really thick with just protein and a little water. Drink it as fast as you can and then chase it with something good....like you're taking a shot or something.

They aren't the greatest, but they help achieve your goals so you basically just have to suck it up and do it.....it's like eating healthier. I would much rather eat bratwurst and fried chicken all day but I eat baked chicken and brocolli instead....you just have to do it.

Whey protien pretty much sucked for me in any flavor. So if you have a little extra money to spend, go buy some muscle milk from GNC. It really helps. Also if your trying to gain muscle and get bigger, there is Creatine Monohydrate. Ive used it and in 6 weeks my bench went up 40 lbs.

Asimmer, does GNC or any other chain sell Syntrax Nectar? Or do you have to order it online?

Muscle Milk tastes great and is really good stuff, but sice it is a whey blend, it doesnt get absorbed as fast as a whey isolate, which is what you want right after you workout.

AST VP2 makes some of the best Whey Protein Isolate and it tastes pretty good (fruit punch), but it is very expensive. I read some good things about Optimum Nutrition 100% whey.

bullhusk - my loacl store - Nutrition City occasionally has the Syntrax Nectar, but you can get a wider variety online - try BestPriceNutrition.com
Muscle milk is good, if the fat fits into your caloric needs - the fat makes it creamy and tasty. I think post workout you don't want the fat, but it would be a good pre-bed meal. There are a lot of posts about muscle milk in the supplements forum.

A blend of whey and casein can be beneficial pre or post-workout - you have some fast absorbing and some slower absorbing protein that way.

I hope you find somethign that works...

Most recently bb1fit posted that a glass of milk is just as good post-workout as a shake...so maybe you don't need it?

I find that www.vitacost.com has the best prices for almost everything I buy.
