Hello all. I am a 33 year old male. I have been working out off and on for about 12 years. I am 5'6" and weigh about 175lbs. Alot of that weight is muscle but some of it is nasty fat. I desperatley want to look like the guys in the magazines. Ripped, full of muscles. I have taken supplements with some success. 1-AD added alot of strength but at a cost of added weight. My question is, is it too late for this old man to achieve his dreams? I am not trying to enter contests, just want to look like I could. Can I ever lose the love handles? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy training!!

Thanks for your input. I have been battling my love handles for awhile now. I know that diet is the key but I don't want to just eat salads for the rest of my life. Besides, to gain strength and muscle a body needs protein. What would be a good split routine, one that at one time would train to get BIG muscles and another time would cut the body to trim the fat. I have read alot of mag's that show "professional" bodybuilders routines that just aren't realistic. They use steroids but don't want to say they do. I need some real advice, some that would work for your average old guy to see real results.

I tend to recommend a program right here, quite often, from freetrainers. Its called the "Weight Loss and Definition Training" program and it works great. Give it a look over. It's free!
You don't have to eat salads all the time. Eat good wholesome food (not processed) and you will do well. -------------- "A will finds a way, failure is not an option" Ivan carivan@freetrainers.com Montreal Canada |

What is your opinion on 1-Ad? I used it while deployed to Iraq and found great strength gains. Unfortunatley I gained some fat weight as well. Not a problem for the average civilian, but for us Marines, we have to maintain weight standards. Any other products you know of that suit you well as far as muscle gain?

The best product for muscle gain is correct diet! I doubt seriously that the 1AD was your source of gain, witness by your own post of you gained some fat also. This would directly indicate heavy diet was involved.-------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

I just eat right, and add in some supplemental protein and meal replacements. I am not familiar with 1-AD, sorry. Perhaps someone else has an opinion on that.-------------- "A will finds a way, failure is not an option" Ivan carivan@freetrainers.com Montreal Canada |

FOOD is the BEST ANABOLIC ever created.
as bb1fit said, good nutrition is the key. want big muscles? rest and eat and train hard. go the natural way. trust me, it is the best. you feel awesome to know that what you have achieved is all you. by the way, did you looked at bb1? and you thought you were old... |

Thanks Charlie and kakaroto:big_smile:...as to the 1AD, there is not one shred of credible evidence that it builds an ounce of muscle to my knowlege. Prohormones are but a precursor to steroids, and do not have the type of effects that were hyped by the media. If you research 1AD you will find that it's actual chemical name is 5alpha-androst-1-en-3,17-dione. Upon deeper investigation you will also find the metabolic pathways of this prohormone, and would realize that almost zero of it is actually converted into testosterone.-------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... bb1fit@freetrainers.com |

Thanks for the input. I am going to look into a better eating regimen. Hey, Carivan, you mentioned a specific program that is here on this site. Where can I go to take a look at the different programs offered? I filled out the profile information and they put me on a 12 week mass program. I would like to take a look at the Weight Loss and Definition program you talked about. Thanks.
