I am happy to report that I have discoverd a fantastic new way to tone every muscle on your body, with special emphasis on your glutes.

Simply put on your favorite pajamas, get some celery and peanut butter. Watch a little girl named Carley Patterson do a floor routine that she must ace in order to be only the second woman ever to wear the gold in the individuals.

I did the whole routine with her...ever spin, every tumble, every split, I stuck every landing. I even cried when the score posted.

Well, so I wasn't "really" doing it, but I did mirror it with enormous tension in the same muscle groups I am sure she was using.

I would highly suggest this workout to everybody....it's intense, patriotic, and you only have to do it every four years.

Cry baby. I never cry during the olympics.

alrighty then.

You know something else that makes me cry when I see it on television? The commentators on Monday Night Football. They stand up now and I find it quite unsettling and am bothered by it to no end.

Yes Madden makes me cry too. I miss Howard Cosell and the days when football announcers were calling games totally sh**faced.

dfly, my wife and I have been watching the olympics every night. I finally pulled the couch cushion out of the crack of my azz this morning. I think that we were more thrilled then Carley was; she seemed so oblivious to what it actually means when winning a Gold medal in the Olympics. Hope it hits her later...

Bob Costas drives me crazy too, but at least he isn't bringing up the dramatical stories of our Olympians as much.

Hickory,

Give us a taste of how a Cosell interview would have gone with Carley, or even a play by play when Carley was doing the floor routine. We need a Cosell; ratings would surely skyrocket....

I know, but I bet that weird calmness is what makes her good with that kind of situation. She doesn't strike me a nervous person. I would have been the type to overcompensate....surely I would have tumbled right into the grand stands on my last pass if I had been her,

Yes Charlie, please do.

I never thought of that...Her calmness definately helped her; her attitude of "just another meet helped her. And me, falling off the damn couch on her every pass, helped her. Hit my damn head on the coffee table on her first pass, my elbow on her second; stepped out of the family room on her third, and knocked a picture off the wall on her fourth. God, I love the Olympics, now where is my ice bag....

Oh, ok...Charlie, why don't you like him? Hector says he is arrogant, so he doesn't like him either.

Hi Dfly! I've sure been missing you guys too. So much going on with school starting, computer dying, etc. I'm looking forward to spending the weekend online while I do my homework.
