Have you heard of TVP (textured vegetable protein)? Has 50g protein per 100g. Can't remember how much fat/carbs etc. but i remember that they were good amaounts to have (not too much yet not completely lacking in). It also tastes really nice. In the uk, it's available in Holland & Barretts, not sure bout anywhere else in the world. Just thought i'd share my food discovery... ps. It comes dehydrated, you soak it in water for about 10 mins. then fry it. It has a savoury taste, but tends to adopt the flavours of whatever you have with it. Looks like pieces of chicken, but a bit darker.
