Carivan is correct. Food is the most anabolic thing you can do for your body. A calorie surplus will result in a weight gain. Whole food is always your best choice, those "supplements" are just that, supplements to a good diet. Protein is essential, the others are not. I get 60 gr of protein from supplement, and the balance from food. The only other supplement I use is a multi vit, along with a megadose of vit c to keep me from yawning! A good protein source immediately after workout (whey preferably) for fast absorption with some carbs is all you really need for supplementation. Everything else can just be a lifestyle of eating right with a calorie surplus as bb1 stated.-------------- Seeking out motivation does not motivate you to seek out results. - Paul Post mark - PaulsMark - Post mark |

Ok, youre all a good help to me, guys!
But i wanna know, why then everyone is such a...creatine user, enveryone talks about that pil, and that stuff...and what to mix...i mean...why, when it can be done with food? I did it without even protein powder for 2 years, i did great progresses... |

Why? Because a lot of people want a shortcut. It's pretty common to hear guys talking about the spectacular results they've gotten from some supplements, but often they began cleaning up their diet at that same time. Sometimes time constraints and convenience make things like protein supplementation necessary, but it seems like supplements are most effective when you've gone as far as you can without them.-------------- OSU Law Rugby....specializing in personal injury and pain & suffering. | |

Dude, Ill just say i gained 20lbs in 4 months eating 5-6 cans of tuna, then whatever else i eat that day, BUT TUNA SUCKS! So yeah you dont need that shit, unlees your actually trying to become a bodybuilder. Which I doubt your tring to be the next Arnold. I do eat at least 2 protein batrs a day, and that is EXPENSIVE! 2.59 per bar, and higher its ridiculous. But you could use the creatine as an energy boost.

DonnyD, you may want to find other sources of protein if you are eating 5 - 6 cans of tuna a day. Check the following article for more information http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/fish/InNews/eattuna.html .

yup! And that study isn't anything new. They have been debating it for years. But good info anyway.-------------- "A will finds a way, failure is not an option" Ivan carivan@freetrainers.com Montreal Canada |
