Hey mandalier - Welcome to FT!! I'm not a pro but my trainer has me stretch before, stretch during, and stretch after each workout. I get sore to, so I stretch on my days off, so I can be ready for him to kick my butt again tomorrow. hahaha Stretch, stretch, stretch as much and as often as you can. The soreness will go away the longer you're at it. Stick with it hon, when you start seeing the results you won't care about the pain. *grin*

Charlie and Pauline said it. Stretch before, during and after your work outs. Does two things, helps with the sorness and adds to your flexibility, off days as well. And ya we are save at this distance if your hurting that much and are getting the hurt will pass....ouch...

After doing squats for the first time, it hurts like hell. The second and third days can even be worse. IT becomes a sting. If you did them right, probably even sitting on the toilet lol will hurt like hell.

But heck, you know you worked them. And in the future, they dont ache much after you work them out regularly, just like every other muscle.

mandalier: I did put in those bars that you are talking about...I am thankful that I did, especially after squat day, and to damn much hot sauce on my food...Love hot and spicy, but they hate the hell out of me...

Good luck on the legs; I still get sore ever time I to those damn squats...But, they are great!!!

heheheh @ fryer.

Yeah, squats can beat the hell out of you. Now you know why alot, and i mean ALOT of people that work out in the gym are afraid of them. But they will net you the best results!

If you do squats on a regular basis, you should not have pain like you do on the first time you work them.

but wait atrueladi... i feel great today :) ..of course I'll still be waiting to see the "ouch" chat back on the top :P ..

and even better everyone ..my dearest was eating oreo cookies last night and I realized that since I've stopped eating cookies, cake, candy, etc...I haven't had any desire to do so :-D ..so hopefully these sore legs will pay off even faster

lol fryer ...was trying to brag on myself but i'm still laughing at your post ..you're so funny firehawk for even bringing it up ..out of all the soreness, you can't forget about the toilet squating

Parallel squats, box squats, deep breathing squats, squats with bands, sissy squats, front squats, etc etc etc...My body still hasn't gotten use to the variety, and the different ways that it hits the legs, so, still sore most of the time. Definately not like the first time I did them, but still sore none the less..

Good luck!
