hey, i aint sure if this is the right place to post this but oh well.
the thing is i've started running recently (well more of jogging since i gotta start steady then build up as my fitness increases), but whenever i jog it hurts just behind my ear (behind my earlobe). my head also sometimes hurts too. Does anyone know what causes this? and how i can stop it?

its both really, but i'm more concerned about the ear thing. it isnt really my actual ear that hurts just behind the ear, just under the bony bit, just behind the earlobe. A really weird type of pain and it goes all hot..

febreze - I'm not big on running to the doctor for every little thing but what you describe doesn't sound little and ought to be checked out.

Just a thought, but could you be tensing your jaw a lot when you run?

Doctor?! damn u think it may be that serious?! i mean, i thought it would just be something small like cramps in your side or something which has an explanation, and ways 2 stop it. Does anyone else get my problem while running??
i think, since that was the first time i ran as a workout in a looong time, i'll do it a few more times and maybe the pain will stop after some time?
otherwise i guess i'll see the doc :(

I wasn't trying to scare you into running to the doc and it may very well be something trivial. The area you described is where most of the blood flows through and I'd be concerned about a restriction if it continues.

Febreze -- Not sure if you still check this, but did you ever go to the doc about the head pain? I have the exact same problem....

If when you run and you tense up your jaw like me for example it causes a lot of strain on those muscles and it causes TMD which can cause serious headaches and ear pain and clicking in your jaw...sooo annoying
