I have been doing my fitness program from here. And I like it. But it seems like after my workouts Mainly the day after My ribs hurt like the outside of them. I also did something different on the treadmill. I walked a lap then sprinted like at a 9 for as long as I could maybe 30 seconds and I rested 30 seconds, I continued this for 20 minutes. then walked a little. Question is are my ribs hurting from running or is it from the weights. Its not an unbearable pain but is a new one.
thanks

i sometimes get that from doing oblique excercises. However it might be because you haven't worked out in a while or haven't worked out at all.

I usually workout 4-5 times a week. Have been for nine months but not this hard

what you did on the treadmill was HIIT, high intensity interval training and it's a great way to burn calories. I hope whn in your "rest" phase, that you're continue to move via walking or better yet, light running. It is hard on your system if you are completely stopping. I would guess that your sore ribs are from ab work-if you did any within the past 48hrs. However, it could actually be from the running, if you were tightening up your abs during the high speed part. The pain should subside within a day or 2.

Duh I did do some ab work and have had some discomfort but it was kind of ... Lower not around the ribs Now that I think about it I did do those bicycles where you bring your elbows to your knees so that may be why the pain is higher. I was thinking maybe I was doing something wrong bad form or whatever
And no when I was running I stopped by stepping to the side actually this is what one my trainers was doing and asked me to do it with her. So now I know to keep moving
Thanks Fly
