I am lifting weights to help with my weight loss and to gain strength. When I do full squats I don't feel like I am getting a great workout because I use much lighter weight than I can use with a partial squat. Should I work with the lighter weights and build up my full squat or should I do partials with heavier weights to get a better workout for fat loss?

-------------- Curl Jockeys, get outta the squat rack!
I wish everyone would get a partial amnesia and never use 'tone' ever again. (thanks Menance)

Thanks, mutt. I figured that would be the answer, but I feel so silly lifting those light weights, especially since I am so bottom heavy with a big butt and thighs! Oh well, I guess I will just have to be patient.

One thing is fill out a profile, lol give some info on you. Secondly we all started out small....I could hardly squat 75lbs when i first squatted....just stay at it.

I do box squats but there are 2 ways on squats you refer to one is partial hold squats the other is partial box squats and if you dont go to parallel on a box might as well not even do em
