I am a 35 year old mom of two and wife of a great guy who is dropping weight like crazy! I have been working out for about three weeks now. I am doing 35-40 minutes of cardio six times a week, weights five times a week (program from this website), watching what I am eating (I think I may not be eating enough, believe it or not), I have one cheat meal a week and never even finish it, I drink a gallon of water a day and cook with NO OIL....making lifestyle changes like adding salsa to potatoes instead of sour cream, etc. I lost 4 pounds the first week, 3 the second and 1 last week....NOTHING this week. Am I doing something wrong?? I feel like I should be seeing more of a difference. I also noticed that some cellulite on my leg was going, and it seems to be back today....I'm freaking over that one. Maybe I need someone to look at my daily menu's...what do you think?? Thanks for the help.:(

Put up some examples of your daily meals.

Your husband has testosterone working to his advantage. Don't be discouraged.
You may have cut calories too rapidly and caused a metabolic slow-down.
Did you jump into this routine or ease into it? All of that cardio is too much if you are just getting started out.
Anyhow, there are some questions for you...

Hi and thanks for replying. I started with 30 minutes of moderate cardio and now do 35 HIIT (every five minutes). The day after my off day, I do 45 minutes of moderate cardio and I do the weight lifting plan from here (it's not hard although, I have to go get some heavier weights...I use five pound weights). Here is an example of what I eat through the day. Breakfast: oatmeal with raisins or egg whites with salsa on a whole wheat bun and always green tea.
Snack: if I have one, it would be green tea and a small protien drink (soy drink with berries or a banana)or a piece of fruit.
Lunch: Salad on a whole wheat soft taco or salad with tuna and green beans in it (I never use salad dressing, only vinegar)
Dinner: Baked potato with Salsa on it and a small chicken breast or lean steak and salad.
I don't drink anything other than water and green tea.
On Friday, I have a cheat meal, like a donair or pizza(2 slices) and don't eat the whole thing. I then get right back on track.
Any advice is welcome.
I wanted to tell you as well, that I got on the scale Monday and I lost 3 lbs (11 total so far).
Thanks and God bless!

You need some fat in your diet, add a small handful of almonds or walnuts to your snack.
It sounds like you are getting results, don't get too stressed.
Weight loss is funny that way, sometimes you drop a lot (usually water), the next week you might be up a little and then the following down dramatically. Our bodies do a lot of strange things as we get healthier.:)
Be sure you are getting some lean protein with every meal and if you feel deprived at all eat more veggies!
I think your diet looks okay for now, keep on doing it and when you plateau you can switch things up a little.
