Hey muff,

I think that EAS "Phosphagen HP" has waaaaayyyy too much sugar! I personally don't think you need that much simple sugars for a transport system, and I have found that the effervescent works just as good for me. Hey...If you want to get leaner, you should definitely try to cut back on the sugar; however, if you do want to use "Phosphagen HP" then I would take it ONLY after your workouts.

Would it still be a good idea to take 20 grams for one week of Phosphagen HP then cut back to just 5 grams?

Newer theory says that you really don't need to 'load' your creatine. If you take the regular 5g per day, your muscles will be saturated in 30 days. That being said, most people still do load (20g per day for a week and then 5g a day thereafter) to get the full effect faster. You'll lose a little of the creatine when you're loading, but you saturate more quickly.
