When combined with yoga, it is great for the body. I noticed more flexiblity after the first time I did this. It is also good for stregthening the core and giving you balance.

Since I started doing pilates I have noticed that my hip shape changed and started to slim. I used to be a dancer and it is just like going back to having a dancers body.

I was wondering about this awell, I workout 3 times a week and want to incorporate pilates 2 or 3 times a week aswell, I started doing pilates very often then gave up on it after about a month, the main thing is to just stick with it, It's supposed to give oyu long, lean muscle instead of bulkie.

Wow, I think you guys read my mind. I've been looking online for some pilates dvd/vhs's too. Any suggestions? Karen Voight looks awesome and has some that look good. I feel so thick that I was thinking the pilates will help with lean muscles. I lift, do cardio the whole thing, and was looking for something different.

the dvd that i have is pilates for everybody. It has 5 different levels of intensity, an introduction for each level, and 3-4 different workouts to chose from for each level. You do not get bored, because you aren't doing the same routine every time. I love it

You like the Karen Voight one? I was also looking at the Stott Pilates and the Balance Body one or something like that. There are so many to choose from........any suggestions? Should I get the ring too?

I have been doing Pilates and Yoga for a week months now. I love my muscle tone now, but my arms are pretty bulky from the muscle. Any tips on how to reduce bulk?
