OK, I just can't seem to consume enough calories to bulk up. I've tried several times and the loongest I've lasted is like 3 weeks, then I fall into a hole where I wind up missing meals because as a working student I don't have money to buy 6 meals a day or time to cook over 440 meals a week. Even if I set aside onne day to ccok, I can't get it done. I'm too busy. So, I guess I should just burn the 2 extra inches around my waist so i will at bets have abs and at worst have a flat stomach. Here's my questions:
1. should I lift light in order to maintain whatever amall amounts of muscle mass I do have? I weigh about 190, I can bench 187 4-5 times, squat about 220 like 6 times. I don't know if I should maintain that, seeing for the time being I've completely given up on bulking up, or just do light weights high reps.
2. Can I burn fat while maintaining my bodyweight? If I weigh 190, burn 5 pounds of fat and lose 10 pounds of water weight, I'm gonna be like 175, which I definitely don't want at all!!! I know you can't bulk up and burn fat simultaneously, but can you maintain muscle and maybe replace the 5 pound of fat with 5 pounds of muscle?
3. What should my cardio training be like? What should my diet be like? No carbs? What else can i eat?
Thanks!

I meant over 40 meals, not 440. That would be insane.

Wow....one at a time big man lol....lemme giver a go...to bulk up you need to consume more than you burn...easy enough right(thats what we'd all like to think) If you can not eat enough food then you would benefit greatly by the use of protein supplements. Take in at least 200 grams a day....and yes you can burn fat while building muscle...it takes longer but with the proper diet the muscle itself actually begins to burn the fat for you..one of my mottos in the gym is "If you keep doing what youve always done, you'll keep getting what you've always gotten." Always strive for one more rep, and another 2 and 1/2, run another 10 seconds...it's the extra effort at the end that puts you ahead of the game no matter what your goals, If your trying to bulk up...i personally wouldn't do much more than 20-30 minutes three times a week of cardio, if at all....well i hope some of this makes sense...fill out your profile then we can better understand where you are comin from. Take 'er easy.
