:( I started working out about three weeks ago (I need to lose 30 pounds). I do 30-40 minutes of intense cardio (5 min's on and off HIIT) and about 15-20 minutes of weights four times a week (plan from this website). I lost 8 pounds right away, but now....nothing! I have been watching what Im eating (lots of veggies, and cooking with NO FAT). I have one cheap meal a week. I can't believe Im saying this, but I don't think Im eating enough. I drink a gallon of water a day. I am 35 and weigh 159 (Im female). I think I need someone to make me some meal plans. What am I doing wrong????????

I know the charts said there would be a stall in weight loss and to get centrum vitamins. Try that out maybe it will work out or just let the stall pass and maybe it will go back to losing agian. I haven't tried the plans yet but they look easy enough and hard enough to keep me motivated. I had a baby last year and i am ready yo lose the weight. I have been losing like crazy for doing next to nothing so i dont even know if the plan will work for me. do you find it easy to keep up with the plans?

Hi there,
Thank you for replying to my post. Yes, I find the reps doable, but I do find that I have had to up my weight (which is good, I guess, meaning that I am getting stronger). I had a cheat meal this weekend and I didn't gain anything, so I can only assume that maybe I would have had a loss if I didn't do that (I do think it's good to do that once a week and then get right back on track, for both physical and emotional reasons). Thanks again for the reply and it's good to know that there will be a stall....I'll just be patient and see what happens....I can't see it possible for anything else to happen, but to start losing sometime. I work very and push very hard, and always do one extra even if it feels like it's going to kill me. Good luck with your fitness goals, you'll achieve them and congrats on your baby! God Bless! ============ Quoting from djwikked: I know the charts said there would be a stall in weight loss and to get centrum vitamins. kelliee07 Soemtimes you may not show a weight loss due to the increase in lean tissue. Muscle does way more than fat and this could be a reason no loss on the weight.
Now, that being said, you must stop using a scale, forget you ever owned one. Get a tape measure (not high tech) and measure various parts on your body, IE Biceps, chest, waist, stomach, thighs, and calf. I will bet you will see the difference. Good luck and stick with it. These changes take time. One cheat meal will not do anything critical. Once you really get going, your body will be using almost everything you eat for fuel. -------------- Scales are for dead weight: We are not dead yet! Hi Ivan,
Thanks for the reply. I have since lost about 10- 11 pounds and am definately seeing a difference. I have stuck to a strict healthy diet and eat carbs for energy instead of a craving. I fill up on fruits, veggies and protien. I LOVE seeing a difference in the definition of my body (I never wanted to be skinny, but rather athletic looking with defined muscles). I now run 5k three times a week and do weights about an hour and a half three times a week. I still have about 17 pounds to lose but it will all come in good, healthy time. Take care and God Bless, Kelli |
