Fax Seed Oil (1)1000mg lunch
CO Q-10(Coenzyme Q-10) (1) 200mg lunch

I think what you take is perfect. very similar to what I take.
Here is what I take daily:
1 Multi
1 Fish Oil 1000 mg
1 CoQ 10 50mg
1 B50 Complex
2 500mg calcium / magnesium citrate am
2 500mg calcium / magnesium citate pm
1 Vitamin E 400 IU
1 Vitamin C 1000mg ester C w/bioflavoniods

I heard that garlic in pill form doesn't really do much.

I take Chromium Polynicotinate and R-ALA with my insulin spiking dose of creatine.

At night I take ZMA.

I would reduce the CoQ10 to about 100mg. I don't think 200 is necessary.

I would add calcium. They say you should have 1000mg a day, 500 at a time because your body cannot absorb more then that at once. They say to take it with magnesium to help absorb the calcium. I would take it in citrate form, which seems to be the most absorbable form.

I am no expert, but have done tons of research on vitamins.

oops, made a mistake in my last post.
it should read:
2 250mg calcium / magnesium citrate am
2 250mg calcium / magnesium citate pm

the calcium to magnesium ratio should be 2:1 cal / mag

Actually, calcium competes with the absorption of magnesium...therefore, you should take them separately. This is especially true of you take ZMA.

According to George Schmidt, O.D., <http://www.i-care.net>
The form of the calcium is important, too, as there is
some evidence that many types are not absorbed well. It should be taken with magnesium for optimal absorption, too.

I have read in many places this same theory. I do know that it does compete with something in ZMA for absorption, but from a vitamin standpoint and not a ZMA standpoint, I have always heard this theory.

Oh well, this i guess is another one of those things there are so many different theories on.

To make you feel a little better Jwagoner here's a sample of my daily intake that I feel is necessary to maintaining and adding muscle as well as maintaining health:

Morning: 1/2hour before breakfast- GNC Mega Men vitamin, 1000mg of carnitine. right after breakfast- 5 grams of glutamine, fish oil, HMB.

Early afternoon: right after early afternoon meal- HMB, 5 grams of glutamine.

Post workout or early evening: malto and dextrose 50/50g with 10g of creatine, 1500mg of arginine, 5 grams of glutamine, HMB.

Late night or before beddy-bye time: tablespoon of flax seed oil, ZMA, HMB, 5g glutamine, 100mg of carnitine.

Granted, I'm drinking upwards of a gallon and a half per day of water, plus my protein supplementation goes without saying. I don't consider protein to be a "supplement", but rather a necessity. I never say "I'm on protein!" This may seem like alot but it keeps me anabolic.:dumbbell:

Hey Jdelts, no CoQ10 for you?

I got this off a website. There is tons of info on it:

Most folks are aware of the benefits of antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E, and many people already take these supplements, but the most important component of our antioxidant supplement, Coenzyme Q-10, is less well known to the general public.

One of the benefits of coq10 is that it is the world's most comprehensive cardiovascular support supplement.

Another of the benefits of coenzyme q10 is that they are widely recommended to repair heart damage and to boost the function of the heart, as well as in preventative use to safeguard against heart attacks and valve damage. It has also been shown to be beneficial in breast and lung cancer, as well as helping to maintain cognitive function.
Another of the benefits of Coq10 is that it can prevent a deficiency that can be caused by the body's inability to synthesize nutrients. Low blood levels are often associated with poor heart function and may be associated with other adverse effects in the body. Low levels of enzyme coq10 also appear more common in older people. The average diet provides only 1 mg per day.

Another of the benefits of coenzyme q10 is that it is an enzyme found in all cells of the body. It occurs naturally, and is the co-factor in the electron transport chain between cells. If is lacking, the body's most important source of cellular energy is depleted, and many medical conditions are aggravated. One of the benefits of Coq10 is most concentrated in the heart and liver, and is a vital component in the mitochondria, the body's metabolic factories.
