when I eat food I always seem to take large portions. The nutritional facts say that 2 cups is one serving, but i usually have 7 or 8 cups. When I eat eggs I usually have about 5 or 6 of them. I was just interested in the pros and cons of eating two large meals everyday vs. 3 or 4 regular sized meals.

Eating smaller and more frequent meals will speed up your metabolism

Aye...mug is correct. Best way to do it to really rev up your metabolism is to take you overall caloric requirements and divide it over 5-6 meals, then get equal portions in each meal.
Example: 2300 calories a day, then get 383 calories a meal for 6 meals.

As a rule of thumb... I try to eat 4- 6 meals (depending on how busy we are) daily, with at least three food groups each meal. I also try to keep the amount I eat down to about the size of both my fists. It might not seem enough at first; but if you eat healthy foods, high in nutrients, you will get full. I now have complete control over my diabetes ( type 1) and I have lost about 80 lbs. in the last year and a half.
