I don't really have any scientific answer to give, however I have an opinion on the subject that I would like to share. Personally I believe that ANY form of hormone therapy should be performed by a qualified physician & any attempt for a person to diagnose or treat a hormonal condition should be avoided. Also it is becoming less "taboo" to discuss hormone therapy with doctors & I believe that anyone concerned about their hormone levels should do this. As for all the pro-hormones on the market I believe they are a waste of time & money as people tend to see them as a short cut & neglect so many other important aspects of training & nutrition. People just don't realize the vast amount of methods that we have at our disposal & seem to lose their minds when they are presented with a "magic pill" that can supposedly solve their problems. Now that I have finished my rant for now, I would like to share some things I have found to be quite productive in gaining mass in regards to nutrition & training. First of all it is vital that the trainee is taking in enough of all 3 macro nutrients through out the day & at the right times. It is also important that we make sure each meal has sufficient nutrients to carry us to our next meal, as running out early forces our bodies to tap into stores which we should avoid if gaining is the goal. Also don't forget that variety is important in nutrition as well as training so don't hesitate change the profiles in the diet from time to time. As far as training goes I have found it best not to focus on hypertrophy training for too long, I rarely go more than 8 weeks without changing the focus to either limit strength training or speed strength training for a month or so in between mass cycles. Keep in mind that occasionally it is necessary to increase strength to gain mass, & likewise it may be necessary to increase speed strength to increase limit strength. Also as mentioned before I have found changing the diet( usually to one that allows for a little bit of fat loss) during the non mass training cycle has had tremendous effects on both losing the extra fat gained & to "prime " the body for the next mass cycle. In addition try cycling the supplements along with the training cycles, I have found using creatine for the 8 week mass cycle & switching to an acetyl-l-carnitine product(I personally use regular ALC but it is also the main ingredient in acetabolan & cytovol)for the alternate cycle.

I couldn't agree with ya more on the pro-hormone issue. It's just a bunch of junk, if only people really knew.

The only thing that keeps prohormones in the picture is media hype by the companies trying to sell them and make a buck. Anyone who has used them already knows they don't do anything.
