I've been working out for more than four years now. One thing that never seemed to clear to me is postworkout protein and creatine. Ive been doing my cardio after my workouts but i know that protein should be taken about 30 mins postworkout, and my creatine says to take it within 10 mins of working out. My creatine i can take to the gym with me. I used to take my protein with me as well but when i take it postworkout even after resting for a while i would get a little bloated and my would either be half ass or i wouldn't do it because my stomach was too full...my question is am i losing valuable time for postworkout recovery if i do anywhere from 20-45 mind of cardio then take my protein shake after? Any suggestions?

Try 1 hour before, then only water during workout.

It may be your creatine that is causing the bloat. What type of creatine are you using? Monohydrate, ethyl ester, micronized, kre-aklyn, etc etc?
