I was talking with this guy at work and he trains using powerlifting techniques. I am not familiar with this specific way of training, but it seems a lot of the movements are deeper and more extreme. He explained how when he curls he brings the barbell up in front of his face around nose level, compared to the standard barbell curl. Is this the correct form if you are powerlifting or what? thanks for your time! BQ

Not sure how others train, but the group I train with do not train biceps directly. Every once in awhile we will get a wild hair up our butt and do a couple curls with the bar, but we tend to do it the same way that a BB does it. Perhaps a bit less TuT.

The big difference between powerlifting and body building, (the way i understand it) is the way the rep is proformed. Body builders use slower, more controlled movements. Powerlifters use more quick and explosive reps when they train. I like to use a little of both when I train, 75% bodybuilding and 25% powerlifting.
