The best feeling in the world is the feeling you get after a tough set of squats after you step back from the power rack and throw up all over the floor.

wrestler, thanks for the videos. the arm break was brutal, and so was the shirt blow out, but you could tell that he was used to training with that weight on a regular basis(the shirt guy). the other guy, im not so sure of, that was nasty!

the other guy is mike brown. He is only 18 years old, and trains with the westside crew. Look for him to break some big records in the upcoming years.
As for the shirt blow out, he did have quick spotters, but he looked more upset than hurt. I would be too.

Mike Brown's lift was nasty. It looked like the bar drifted back towards his face and that is why he lost it.

Dave Tate later stated in an interview that it was probably just his bodies way of telling him that it wasn't ready to be lifting that kind of weight. They figured his bones and ligament weren't adapting fast enough to bearing that kind of weight. He's already totaled 2300 in a meet. I picture him being the Brent Mikesell of the bench in coming time.

one armed snatch, 5 reps, 150 lbs.

He doesnt get down that low on his catch, though it is one handed so that makes it tougher to get out of the hole. Pretty impressive.

Dang those are some nasty bench videos. I bet there's some nasty squat/dl stuff out there too. I love that one armed pull up and rope climb though that's crazy. I'm just workin on doin the wide grip pullups holdin onto the very sides. For some reason I can only do like 5 of them.

benni's 940 lb deadlift. Can't wait to see this guy in a meet. He is sick. I think someone said he is magnus samuelson's nephew or something like that.
I would love to see a bolton vs. benni pull meet. I would travel to see that...

Who is this guy, and where did he come from??? I've never heard of this guy, and he just pops out of nowhere with a 1200lb squat??? Holy shit.

http://www.ksdk.com/videoplayer/player.aspx?aid=26858&bw
Jeff Lewis' 1201lbs Squat

Anyone else think that parallel was questionable though? I'm surprised that someone broke Brent's mark so quickly. Still, in terms of total, its a little easier to squat that heavy when you're not pulling so much. I believe brent was pulling 800+ when he squatted 1170. This with only 3 fingers on one hand.

yea menace, and you thought you had grip problems... Brent shot off one of his fingers when he was a teenager. ALthough he was a CoC with his other hand... One can only imagine the totals he would be putting up with a good hand and without all those injuries he's gone through. Popped knees, hyperextensions, pec tears, pulled groin, both pulled hamstrings, and a host of other problems. and he still broke 2500

I think it happened a few years back too, during a strong man competition, I believe he was doing the atlas stones and started to bleed on it.
I've bled during wrestling matches, and during fights, even w/out getting hit in the nose. It builds alot of pressure throughout your whole body. I have hypotension and bradycardia, so sometimes when my blood pressure dips i get dizzy. The other day I'm deadlifting, fail on my third rep w/ 315, drop the weight, and fall over. My partner didn't know what to think.

An excellent link to a bunch of useful videos on how to perform some of the basic powerlifting movements.
The rock on the box squat is a bit old school though.
