I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a good pre workout meal that will give me a lot of energy to lift It seems that I'm not timing my meals right or not eating the right foods. And I dont want to drink a big caffeine energy drink because I heard it negates the effects of creatine. \
Thanks

i'm a big fan of a pb and j sandwich on whole wheat about a half an hour before a workout. ideally you want to stick with some sort of complex carb and protein. this way you get a source of sustained energy release and muscle building nutrients.

with creatine and caffeine, there is conflicting research. just try to separate the two by at least an hour.

If I'm working out first thing in the a.m., I'll have peanutbutter on some whole wheat toast. If I already have a few meals under my belt I just have a protein shake before a workout.
