I just want make a quick intro. Contrary to what my screen name might lead you to believe.... I am not a teenager, but actually a 30 year old Married black female with no children. I am currently 5'8" tall 226lbs. hoping to get down below 165lbs. I have been over weight all of my life my highest weight was 282lbs. which was just May of 2003. I am very impatient when it comes to getting fit...that's why I have never reached my goals in the past. If I don't see results like in 1 week I start to get discouraged:angry:. I need someone to encourage me to keep going until I reach that goal and help me remember that it will work if I work it...LOL so ALL encouragement and fitness tips are welcomed and appreciated... Thanks in Advance!

The goal that you are looking for is VERY doable. There are many success stories here to attest to that. The key is to plan your program and follow your program consistently. Your program should consist of a sound diet that you can live with and an effective exercise routine (cardio and strength training). These two things working together will transform your body. All the resources that you need are here. If you have any questions just ask as there are alot of knowledgeable and helpful people here. Also as Christy said lots of motivation too. Good Luck.

-------------- I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone past me I will turn to see fear's path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain
