well as of lately I've been lifting on a.. near empty stomach and I know this is extremely bad and I'm probably even losing muscle doing this. My problem is, I'll eat peanuts / or peanut butter or sliced turkey before I leave, but about 15 minutes into my lifting routine.. my stomach is empty and I'm hungry. For instance just 15 minutes ago I ate a whole cup of oat meal with 14 oz of milk and brown sugar and right now I'm hungry.. What is something that will fill me up for awhile before I go lift, but isn't too heavy ( especially for days when I want to lift back and do pullups ) ? I'm 13 and I guess my metabolism is on fire right now but man.. no matter what I eat I seem to be hungry when lifting for even a short period of time. I mean by the end of the work out I'm starving..

It sounds great to me...what you're already doin. Can you get a whey post workout shake in within 30 minutes of lifting? If so that should do it. Oh to be a teen again.

I used to, however I ran out of protein powder :( and that stuff is expensive.. I probably wont be able to get more for about a week.

Shop a little. It doesn't have to be expensive.

Well I had a really trustworthy brand that didn't give me stomach aches ( My mom got it from one of her nutritonists she knows from work ). It's expensive though.. 30-40$ I think for a fairly large container. Whats a good brand? Soy protein is horrible, and I don't like aspartamine.. and strawberry is a good flavor :).

Look at proteincustomizer.com. Even their least expensive whey post w/o formula is good.

Drink more water with your meal and get some fiber with it, esepcially with the peanutbutter and turkey, to help keep you fuller longer.
For a good fill-up meal that's not too high on calories, I have a pb and jelly sandwhich (natural pb, whole wheat bread, and mashed up blackberries with a tad of splenda) with warm turkey bacon in the middle, some brown rice and minced chicken breast mixed together, and a tall glass of ice cold water. It's 600 calories or so, depending on how much rice/chicken I eat, and it fills me up for quite a while every time. Great for breakfast.

Thanks deadheadted, I'm going to try that, however I don't have Natural PB, just Skippy, nor do I have fresh blackberries, but I'll have my mom pick some up if she goes to the store this week.
Also, what is something with some fiber that I can take in addition to turkey/peanut butter that I eat before the gym?
