Have any of you women done this program. I just started this week and was wondering how you felt about it, good or bad? I wanted to add more muscle because I know I will lose some of it while attending DI school and still want to have good muscle mass once it is over. I am wondering if this is the right way to go about it or should I not be doing this program and stick with the Tone and Definition. I have been told that I am sure to lose a few pounds while at the school so if I gain a few on the program it will be ok. Any comments or suggestions would be very appreciated.---------------------------- Lisa |

Well since no one has any advice on this subject, I'll give a little. Been doing it for a week now and I feel a lot stronger and very tired afterwards. It is too early to see results, but I am guessing that I will see them in no time at all. I will keep you all posted on this so maybe one of you other girls would like to give it a try. I am going to get my bodyfat done this Friday by my trainer and we will see how much this program has actually helped towards my goals.-------------- Lisa |

I'm willing to bet that the progressive gains program is the least used program on here, so I will definitely be waiting to hear how it goes for you. |

RESULTS!!! RESULTS!!! RESULTS!!!I am at 11.8% bodyfat. I have dropped 7 percent in the past 4 weeks. I weigh 136, same weight as I did 4 weeks ago, but have replaced the fat with muscle. This program is awesome. The most of my fat is in the thigh (go figure). I am very excited and am happy with my bodyfat. I will continue to do this program for the next two weeks until I go home, then I will go bak to really cuttin up. I have not gained mass, but have defined well for only two weeks, but since I am at 11%, I don't want to drop too much more but do want to lose about 4 lbs of fat, then I will have the body I have always wanted. Give this a shot girls, it works out great. -------------- Lisa |

I will get the pics as soon as I get home. Mandre- I have tried a few supplements, for the weightloss, I used hyrdoxycut and then once I started to add the muscle I took animal cuts. Hope this will help you out, but remember everyones body reacts differently to different things. Do your research before you start taking anything and if it sounds good then give it a shot. But you definitely need to pay attention to your nutrition. I don't consider myself on a diet anymore, because I can pig out, but I eat healthier foods and try to keep track of my carb intake. I used to be worried about fat, but I came to find out that carbs play a more important roll than fat (in my opinion anyway). Hope this helps. -------------- Lisa |

Nina, I still swear by hydroxycut. I lost a lot of weight taking it, and I didn't start the animal cuts until I had already lost the majority of my weight. So I would have to still vote on hydroxycut. Although animal cuts is cheaper and I think that is is actually better for "cutting" vice losing just weight.Thank Nellie. He says that he lost the gut as well, so now we are just one fine couple...lol -------------- Lisa |

What is in animal cuts?? Does it make you jumpy? I am almost where I want to be but for a few stubborn areas that I would like to cut up.Congratualtions! You have accomplished a great deal. I have started the progressive program this week - today is day 3. I am glad to hear of your success. Did you follow the nutrition advice or change it? Kym |

I don't follow the nutrition advice on ft anymore (well to some extent). Once I got my diet and nutrition under control, I now know what is good for me. It took awhile, but now it is second nature. I can pretty much tell how much fat, carbs, protein are in the foods I eat so it is much easier. Also I go by the way my body feels. If I pig out, I feel like crap, so I know that I have done something wrong. Animals cuts didn't make me jumpy, however it made a guy friend of mine jumpy. I haven't really taken supplements that make me jumpy. Everyone responds differently. Good luck and please keep the other women informed on your progress and results with this program.-------------- Lisa |

Usually when they do an assessment they offer a plan to go with it. It's your call of course but personally, I find it easier to reduce body fat first then work on building lean mass. If nothing else, it'll keep you in the right mindset and not get frustrated and quit. Half or more of the battle is diet. The hardest part though is sticking with it.-------------- Mike in Pensacola Now. |

Cindy, Tell the mind and body will follow. I'm training a lady and we started with the 3 componens to fitness. Resistance training to increase muscle mass, cardio to increase metabolism and diet.(Calories in verses calorie out). She has gained lean muscle and dropped body fat.
Consistancy equals results and results equals consistancy. Dendy |

Cindy, if you're referring to the exercise programs here on FT, I'd recommend the weight loss and definition program. I think the progressive gains program is more focused on building strength. The weight loss and def. program will still build up your strength but is more focused on building a good base and helping to build up your lean muscle mass.-------------- Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there. |

I just found this site, and am wondering which work out to do ...
is the progressive gains or the weight loss better for me? I had a physical assessment done at my gym, and they said that i had high body fat, and im at the lower range of my bmi. |
