protein and carbohydrate cycling

I recently read in Flex about protein cycling....my question is how does it go together with carbohydrate cycling?

So should one cycle one or the other at one time or cycle both at the same time for max results or do high protein/high carbs and low protein/low carbs or high protein/low carbs?...is there a way to combine these two techniques?

I forgot where I read it menace there was a cycle called the anabolic diet. You would carb load on weekends then during the week fats and protein.

what is the difference between carb cycling and protein cycling. Do they have different purposes or do they do the same thing in a different way? I'm curious to this as well

protein cycling enables the body to take in more protein ...(hence build more muscle)
carb cycling enables body to take in more carbs for muscle glucose storage...(more energy avaliable to the muscle)

I think metabolic diet is something different...but it seems an interesting read nevertheless....thanks for taking a crack at this mmaibohm...

I am guessing this will require the help of bb1 when he gets a chance to see this...

yea..i read it a bit further...it seems like metabolic diet is more focused on carb cycling....rather than protein and carb cycling together...

This is basically a CKD diet you are speaking of here.

As far as protein cycling, I think it is unproven and another "new" way to diet trying to change things.
